Traffic Cone

A traffic cone is a cone-shaped marker used to temporarily redirect traffic in a safe manner. Traffic cones are usually made out of plastic and are brightly colored for high visibility.   When used in construction zones, traffic cones are typically placed in a line to create a barrier that drivers must stay behind.  This helps to protect workers and pedestrians from oncoming traffic.   Depending on vehicle travelling speed and environment windspeed, different height and weight of traffic cone are use.

Traffic cones can also be used to block off areas that are dangerous or need to be repaired to create a safe route for pedestrians and vehicle.    Traffic cones are also often used during parades and other large/sporting events for traffic diversion.
