There are 2 parts to reusable half face respirator.  The respirator itself and the associate cartridges.  We have come across end user using the respirator itself without the cartridges for working purpose.    I’m not kidding!   The activated carbon for filtering is inside the cartridges, it is the filtering device on the respirator.

Often there are selection of a range of cartridges available, it’s crucial to choose the correct cartridges to be used in the respirator for your working environment.    Or there are general-purpose ABEK cartridges available and would provide adequate protection against most types of particles.
